Belle Amie

Ma cherie, belle amie.

Time passes in the blink of an eye.
A comet, racing in the heavens.
Ah, belle amie, how far away you are.

Have you ever looked at the rain
as it washes into gutters mingled
with leaves, mud, and torment
and wondered…

Ou est la fille que s’appelle mon amie?

A globe turns swiftly,
tilting planet spinning contently,

et nous?

We are like two ships on the ocean,
our sails billowing in a summer wind…
who passed for just long enough
to say goodbye.

Ma cherie, belle amie,
J’espere beaucoup pour vous.

I hope that you smile.
I hope that you dream.
I hope that each day the sun
catches you like lemons in lemonade
and adds sugar
to make life all that more sweet.

Belle amie,
beautiful friend.

…..
….

..
.

How far away
our two worlds have become.
