Mailbox Monday – 2/6/17

Mailbox Mondays are hosted by the ladies over on the Mailbox Monday blog.  Hop on over to see the rest of today’s linkups and show them some love!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had deliciously lovely weekends.

Just one book in the mailbox this week – another one of the dystopias I felt the compelling need to add to my collection, but never did.

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley was required reading my freshman year of high school (alongside 1984… it was a good year for dystopias).  I remember very little of it, save the fact that genetic engineering was involved.  I think it would be a good one to revisit.

What new books did you get this week?

    • “Classic” dystopias are difficult to recommend, because they’re very much based on taste, but I’ll definitely write my thoughts when I finish it! If you do decide to pick it up, I’d love to know what you think!

  1. Definitely a classic. I listened to the Audible version a couple of years back. I do think my reaction now was different than when I read this back in my HS or college days.
I hope you find it engaging. Happy Reading!

  2. I’ve been drawn to dystopia lately too- wonder why! Haven’t read this one yet and hope you enjoy it. Have a good week 🙂
