All the Whos down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot, but THE GRINCH, who lived just north of Whoville DID NOT.

Bienvenue and welcome, mes amis, and I’m super super excited for this book box! It’s with the holiday spirit and it’s definitely one of my guilty pleasure books/films.  I’ve been reading this one since I was a kid, then I had years of experience reading this to five and six-year-olds.  I have half the story memorized.  Cindy Lou Who and the Grinch and Max are Christmas classics and this should be fun.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas Box

A Heart-Grew-Three-Sizes Inspired Gift Box for Book Lovers.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss

The ghastly Grinch refuses to be moved by the Christmas spirit in this must-have paperback version of Dr. Seuss’s classic tale. “The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season! Now, please don’t ask why. No one quite knows the reason…” With a heart two sizes too small, the Grinch is the meanest creature you’ll ever meet. He hates Christmas and the whole festive season. But when he hatches a dastardly plot to steal Christmas, he’s in for a big surprise! With hilarious rhymes and beautiful illustrations, this classic seasonal story has become a favourite for good reason and teaches readers the true meaning of Christmas.

This book is available on Book Depository and they ship for free worldwide!

The Bling

Grinch Earrings

This time of year, we see so many Christmas light-themed pieces of jewelry.  Necklaces, earrings, bracelets, brooches!  It was fun fifteen years ago, but now it’s getting old.  There are loads of ways to spice up your holiday jewelry game, and these Grinch earrings are too funny.

RyanBeTrying makes these excellent earrings out of plastic, and while they are water resistant and perfect to wear while you run all over your neighborhood leavings crumbs much too small for the other Whos mouses… maybe don’t shower in them. 🙂

The Bookmark

The Grinch’s Heart Grew Bookmark

“It came without ribbons!  It came without tags!  It came without packages, boxes or bags!”

When the Grinch sees the Whos celebrating without their gifts and he learns “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store.  Maybe Christmas, perhaps, if just a little bit more.” his heart grows three sizes.  This bookmark is the melty, changed Grinch face, although there are plenty of these cute felty bookmarks out there with his grumpy puss as well.

This particular bookmark is intended for a planner, made by Watercolor Blooms, but it would definitely work in a real book as well!

The Companion

The Grinch and Max Dorbz Ridez

Max.  Max needed to be included in this and while I could have used any number of Max toys and stuffed animals, isn’t this little set to die for?  Max is such a loyal, loving dog.  Even though his taste his the worst and he has the wear an antler on his head and pull a REALLY heavy sleigh filled with the whole town’s presents… he’s still smiling!

Ah, I love this Dorbz Ridez so much I actually bought it for myself.  I definitely recommend it – I really like the Funko toys especially the Dorbz, and this one is just as great in real life as the pictures.  Could definitely be part of a holiday display.  Dear Funko – could we get a collection of Santa’s Sleigh style Dorbz Ridez for Christmas?  LOVE.

The Mood Lighting

Ramshackle Sleigh Candle

“He climbed up the side of his ramshackle sleigh, and whistled for Max.”

Fir trees, cloves, and peppermint:  all the aromas of Christmas as mixed into this candle!  All the things the Grinch much has been smelling as he raced up, up, up! Mount Crumpet.  He might try to stop the noise! noise! noise! but the Grinch would never be able to escape the crisp wintery smells in the air.

This lovely candle is LIMITED EDITION and only available for one more week (Dec. 15) from Ghost Light Candle Co.. I’m sorely tempted to add this one to my collection – so many lovely smells.  As always, this candle is 100% soy and environmentally friendly – huzzah!

Something Practical

Grinchmas Heating Bag

If you’re out in the middle of the night at a tree lighting ceremony this Christmas, then you know how freaking COLD it is.  Now imagine the Grinch.  His home is way at the top of a mountain, there’s snow everywhere, and he’s in and out of all these houses in the dead of winter.  It’s not exactly warm inside, either! “The last thing he took was the log from their fire,” remember?  I know he’s covered in fur, but that Santa hat and coat don’t look much good for warmth.  He needed one of these.

If you’ve never used a heating bag before… !!! What in the world are you waiting for?  These things are freaking MAGNIFICENT.  They can go in your pockets to keep your hands warm.  Mine, I use ALL the time to sooth my shoulder muscles because my shoulders are truly horrible.  EITHER WAY.  They are wonderful and this one from Pineapple Coco Crafts is adorably Grinchy.

Something Just For You

Whoville Bath Collection

After a long day of larceny and life changing affirmations and then stuffing himself with roast beast… the Grinch must have needed some spa time.  That was a hard day, amiright?

The creative geniuses at Lets Get Bath Bombed have got you covered, your Grinchiness!

So this bath set includes bath salts, sugar scrub, a Cindy Lou Who bath bomb, lip balm, AND bath soak.  Totally 100% covered for all post-Christmas relaxation.

OOOOOOH I LOVEEE this new layout, Amber!! Looking all professional and stuff!! ???. But anyway, I LOVEEE the Grinch live action movie with Jim Carrey and baby Taylor Momsen. I thought Jim did a fantastic job as the Grinch and was hilarious!! I watch it every year! I’ve seen the Dr. Seuss version too when I was little and in school but the live action one always gets me. ?

You know, a lot of people HATE the live action one, and while I think the animated one is *classic* I actually really enjoy Jim Carrey’s version! He has such INCREDIBLE energy on the screen, he’s so much fun to watch. Have you seen him in A Series of Unfortunate Events? While NPH in the Netflix version is excellent, Carrey was the PERFECT Count Olaf!

Ahhh, yay! I’m glad you like it! I’m still working on images (always, always the images) and fixing a couple broken tags, but overall it’s very pretty and I’m glad to hear people like it!

Thank you! I’m glad you like it. I love getting the actual subscription boxes in the mail and someone’s mom gifted her a “homemade” book box over the summer on one of the blogs I follow and I *loved* the idea so much, it’s not a weekly feature on my blog. 🙂

      YAY!

Thank you for voting, seriously. I’ve been averaging one vote/week which means someone is getting several posts in a row with their personal picks. :). The theme for this week’s poll was books from authors who have a new book coming out next year!

I’ll give you a sneak preview, since I know now you’re a Night Circus fan… this Saturday is Fellowship of the Ring BUT the Saturday after that is the Night Circus!!!

OOOOH. You have Tess of the Road as well! ME TOO. I am so pumped to read it, but I am making myself wait and read stuff that is getting published sooner, but it’s burning a hole in my eBook library and I have to keep telling myself “No…. you have ARCs for January releases… stop it.” I am so excited though. Seraphina was AMAZING. It only just barely missed my Top Ten, and that’s largely because I made myself stick to 10. It was like… number 11.

Can’t wait to hear what you think!
