Hello loves!
Back in October, I participated in the first ever Off-The-Grid Readathon. Generally speaking, I’m not big on readathons, but I love this one. The whole point of the Off-The-Grid readathon is to put your phone down and to read as much as possible. Last year, I finished three books during the readathon and really enjoyed participating. Co-hosts Shanah and Justine run this readathon four times a year… and the second one ever starts today!
If you’re not busy this weekend, you’re invited!
What: The Off-The-Grid Readathon
Where: The comfiest reading place you know.
When: Friday, January 11th @ 12:00 AM to Sunday, January 13th @ 11:59pm
Objective: Put away your phone, your computer, the TV! Spend as much time as possible off social media and READ READ READ. Read anything you want! But read.
My TBR for the readathon is as follows:
- Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu
- Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamanader
- Romanov by Nadine Brandes
This will actually finish out my TBR for January, leaving me free to draw another title or two from my TBR Jar! Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a really short read, so I think this will be no problem at all. And I’ve already started both Moxie and Romanov… but it’s still good to have that focused time.
As with last time, I plan to start reading tonight after work, then all day Saturday. I’d like to try and read on Sunday, but I do need to make sure I don’t get behind on scheduling blog posts, so that may end up being a half day.

This week’s Book Blogger Hop asks:
What is your first book of the year?
Short answer: The first book I finished this year was Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan. That review will drop closer to the actual release date. 🙂

Are you participating in the Off-the-Grid Readathon?
How’s your January TBR doing?
What was your first read this year?

Ooh I wish I’d found this readathon sooner! Good luck! It’s amazing how much time we have when we don’t go on our phones/social media.
It’s so true. I finished an audiobook during work yesterday and a hard copy novel in the evening… this readathon really helps me get through my TBR. They do it 4x/year, and all the dates are up! Next one is in April, then again in July and October.
I just saw this book listed on Barnes & Noble’s website. It looks like an interesting read!
I really enjoyed it!
I know the read-a-thon is over now but I hope it went well!
It went excellently! I’ll be posting the wrap-up on Friday. 😉
