Books On My Summer 2019 TBR – #TopTenTuesday

At the beginning of the year, I was really good about TBRs.

I was using my Novel Companion and filling out the TBR page every month and coloring it in and everything.  Then I began packing and I moved and now I don’t even know where the Novel Companion is and TBRs stopped happening and everything is fine, I swear.

I generally do okay without a TBR because I have a TBR Jar and I have ARCs and everything, but it is sorta nice to have it all laid out?  So while I don’t usually participate in the TBR posts… I think that it’s time to regain control of this situation.

This summer, I have a rush of ARCs I need to get through before fall, which means I really can’t stray from my TBR.  So this should be a slam dunk, yeah?

There’s a couple more that may fall into my TBR as the summer rolls in, particular because I’m waiting on an ARC of Who Put This Song On from Penguin, and because you never know what gifts NetGalley will bestow upon you!  Or if I’ll foolishly go on a requesting spree, which has been known to happen.

Regardless, all these books drop in September/October… so I really have to finish them this summer. 😀

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday asked:

Books On My Summer 2019 TBR

My thoughts: I really wish this TBR wasn’t all ARCs.  I’m hoping to get through most of these in June so I have a couple weeks at least to pull titles from my TBR jar. 😛

Do you ever find yourself straying from your TBR?  I’m weird and I’m crazy about to-do lists, so when I set up a real TBR for myself, I tend to viciously stick to it.  I don’t count the beginning of the year one… because life happens, lol.  What about you?  Lemme know in the comments!

Thank you! The review for The Beautiful is currently slated to drop mid-September, so definitely check back! 😉

Aren’t they just adorable? I really like the colorable bookshelves and the TBR pages, but I don’t really use the rest of it. It’s like a book bullet journal in some ways, and I don’t have the time I guess. Plus I keep tack of all my review on here and Goodreads, so after a while the review bit just gets redundant. But I LOVE the design!

That happens sometimes. 🙁 I have two books to read queued ahead of that one, but I’ll tread carefully. The cover is really pretty, though. 😛

  1. Looks like a great list! Steel Crow Saga and Rebel Girls will be a fall read for me and still am holding out hope for Good Luck Girls!

I’m so excited that you’ll be reading Rebel Girls. It’s gotten a lot of love on this post, and I hadn’t really seen it elsewhere. 😀 I hope you love all three books!

Oh my goodness. 5000 is a lot. That would take me 50 years to read – I hope mine never gets so big. 😀

That’s alright! 🙂 It’ll turn up for sure! And if it doesn’t, that’s okay too. 🙂 Thank you though for your kind words! 🙂

The Beautiful seems to be on a lot of people’s TBRs! 🙂 I feel very grateful to have received an ARC.

Isn’t the Shadow Frost cover so pretty? I’ve heard mixed things, so I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much. 🙂

Thanks Cora! Looking forward to working through them all. 🙂 Good luck on yours as well! I hope we both enjoy Scars Like Wings!

  2. I love the this is fine GIF so much, it’s accurate and relatable and I feel it lol. I’m incredibly excited and hyped for Steel Crow Saga – it sounds definitely like something that I’d enjoy immensely and I am so ready to dive back into stories like those again. I feel like I’m only reading contemporary at the moment haha. Also, I absolutely adore the different blue color tones and shades of the Steel Crow Saga and War Girls covers. Beautiful.

Hahaha the “This is Fine” meme is my life lately. I just relate to that dog so much. 😛

I really, really hope you love Steel Crow Saga! There’s been a lot of people around lately talking about it. It’s sort of a different take on fantasy, which is really creative – I think some folks are going to love it!
