The Identity Crisis Book Tag

Posted August 6, 2019 by Amber in Tags / 8 Comments

Now, I’ve got to admit.  I’m not as crazy all over the WHO WOULD YOU BE?! quizzes as I was when I was younger.  When I was younger, there was Quizilla, and I made these quizzes.  But every once in a while, Twitter lures me into another “these questions don’t even make sense, BUT I AM ANSWERING THEM” quiz so obviously I had to jump on board when Loretta created this tag!

If you ever find yourself having a character-related identity crisis… look no further!  All the quizzes your heart could desire from your favorite, popular series!

  1. Take all the quizzes down below and record your answers somehow. I decided to just copy the text from each quiz and paste it into my post, but screenshots work too! Whatever floats your goat (Yes goat. I SAID WHAT I SAID).
  2. NO CHEATING. You get one shot to take each quiz my friends. I’m watching you. ∗Suspicious squinty eyes∗
  3. Use this post to give credit to the creator Loretta @ The Laughing Listener or tag me on twitter @LaughnListener so I can see everyone’s answers!!
  4. Tag some friends to spread the fun!

Who am I in… Red Queen?

You’re Mare!

Where would we be without the Lightning Girl?! You hold tight to your principles and are always willing to sacrifice yourself to protect others. But your impulsiveness can sometimes get in your own way. Make sure you give yourself a break every once in a while!

Full disclosure:  I didn’t actually finish this series.  Actually, I DNF’d at book two.  Partially because of all the “Lightning Girl” stuff?  But you know, if I had to have a superpower… I’m cool with this one.  I just hope I wouldn’t be as lovestruck and naive as Mare in Red Queen (because, yes, that is my only read point of reference).

Who am I in… The Shadowhunters World?

You’re Jace Herondale & Kit Herondale!

What a dangerous combination you are! Persuasive and restless, sarcastic and capable of more than you could ever imagine. Use your abilities for good, or you might just push your closest friends away.

Are these good people?  Someone explain Shadowhunter peoples to me, lol.  I have tried to get into Cassie Clare’s books, but I just can’t.  This saddens me, because conceptually I think she’s got a pretty great idea.

I think I may be villainous, by this description.  I’m getting Draco Malfoy vibes.

Who am I in… Throne of Glass?

You would be a combination of Nehemia and Chaol!

You hold strong to your morals, as there isn’t much that’s more important than that—is there? You are selfless (perhaps a bit too much so), and incomparably kind. Anyone who knows you should consider themselves lucky.

I am so lost guys.  Was Chaol in the first book?  That’s the only one I’ve read.  I’m clearly not on the YA hype train here….

This also feels like the opposite of my Shadowhunters answer?  I am a confusing person, apparently.

Who am I in… The Hunger Games?

You got: Peeta Mellark!

You’re loyal and dependable and everyone loves having you around them. You wear your heart on your sleeve, which means you’re sometimes taken for granted. But you have plenty of fighting spirit in you. You’re one A-class survivor.

I mean for one, I said my driving force was angry and this does not compute.  Also I’m pretty sure I survive just by being adorable and sick for half of the first book.  So you know. Impressive.

Who am I in… Harry Potter?

You got: Dolores Umbridge

You love sweet, fluffy, pink things, but you can be ruthless and bitchy when it comes to fulfilling your ambitions.

Ahahahaha okay this is a quiz I’ve taken about 435398 times.  Not this specific one, but all sorts of Harry Potter ones.  The goal was always Hermione or Luna.  I think I got Hagrid once and it ruined my day.

But this is SO MUCH WORSE.

How did this happen.

I want a re-take.  None of these things are true.  I am not an ambitious person and I don’t like pink.

Who am I in… A Court of Thorns and Roses?

You got: Azriel

Dark, mysterious, and brooding, the shadows are at your beck and call. No one truly knows you, and that’s the way you like it. Because the real Azriel, the one behind the shadows and the spies, is simply a boy who feels unworthy of everything he has been given, especially the love and devotion of his friends and a certain blond High Fae.

Oh good.  We’re back to the safe series I’ve never read before.  No more of this… Umbridge… nonsense.

This is very angsty.  Maybe maximum angst.  Do we like Azriel?

Who am I in…. The Raven Cycle?

You got: Blue Sargent

You are outspoken, and walk to the beat of your own drum. You’ve always been different, and take pride in your individualistic nature. Although you try to maintain a rebellious streak, you are consistently told that you are sensible. Remember, don’t kiss any strange boys!

Oh no.  Another series I know.  I cringed clicking this, 100% certain that I would get Barrington Welk.  THE SHAME.  THE MISERY.

Blue is a very acceptable answer, though.  I’d’ve liked Gansey, mostly for the opportunity to go hunting for Welsh kings and a lot of money to do such… BUT.  Blue is a good second. 😀  FINALLY Y’ALL.

Who am I in… Twilight?

You got: Charlie Swan

Hey, Charlie. You’re a cool dude. Just keep being your adorable oblivious self. Also, your daughter is now a vampire and your granddaughter is growing at the speed of life. Shouldn’t you notice that?

Hahaha I haven’t read these either.  BUT I’M PRETTY SURE I DON’T LIKE THIS ANSWER.  I’m getting serious redneck vibes and I am NOT into it.

Who am I in…. Folk of the Air?

You are Jude!

You are strong and once you make a decision, you won’t back down. Your resilience is both admirable and terrifying at the same time.

WAIT GUYS.  I feel like I’ve heard a lot about Jude.  Jude is a good answer, right?  Gah I feel so lost right now

Who am I in…. The Lunar Chronicle?

Scarlet lives on a farm in France with her grandmother. She has curly red hair and lots of freckles and is mostly seen wearing jeans and a red sweatshirt. She is frank and abrupt, with a tendency to act first and think later. She is cautious of newcomers and takes a while to warm up to them and trust them.

This is like, an official quiz.  On Marissa Meyer’s website.  FANCY.

I really like this answer and even though I haven’t read these yet, but the description, I feel like this one is the most accurate.  Which, guys, is why quizzes should NOT have questions like “what’s your favorite fruit” or “pick a TV show”.  Sheesh!

Who am I in…. The Lord of the Rings?

Samwise Gamgee

You may just be the most selfless person on the planet. Your heart is made of the purest gold, and you are loyal to a fault. There is never a time when you don’t put your dreams and happiness aside to help out a friend in need. You always seem to receive good karma, although not right away, because you always end up achieving the same things you set aside for loved ones. Despite your sweet nature, you can turn into quite a beast when threatened.

Full disclosure – this wasn’t in Loretta’s original version of the quiz, but I felt like it was missing… so it’s in mine!  If I tag you and you’re doing the quizzes, you can absolutely skip this one if you want to do the Classic Identity Crisis book tag. 🙂

Also this one took FOREVER to take.  But worth it.  I love Sam.

If I didn’t have an identity crisis before, now I do.

These answers are ALL over the place.  And I promise, I didn’t cheat.  I wanted to.  I wanted to not be Umbridge and to not be Charlie Swan.  I think this has also established that I have no idea who I am or what I want in this world.  And that I don’t read a lot of super mainstream YA #sorrynotsorry.

(A lot of these I’ll get to someday, I promise!)

If you’re not tagged and want to join in the fun, please do!  I hope you get better answers than me.  Umbridge, I swear….  And of course, if you are tagged, and you’re thinking “Why in the WORLD would I do a book tag when the person who tagged me got UMBRIDGE out of the Harry Potter quiz?” … well … I’m just as upset as you, and I understand why you wouldn’t want to.

I hope you all grab it though, because this was frustrating/fun and we should all support Loretta’s fancy homemade book tag! <3

Have you ever taken a personality quiz and been really disappointed with your answer?  I want to hear all about the times that the internet has gotten you very, very wrong.  Tell me in the comments if you take any of these quizzes!

  1. Kit Herondale is precious and hilarious and I adore him. I’m not sure you have much *in common* with him, but it’s certainly not a bad result to get. Jace is… the angsty bad boy stereotype at it’s peak. They’re not villains though, just very… emotionally closed off.

    and hgfghgfgh UMBRIDGE. HOW. ?

Also oooh I might just steal this tag, it looks like so much fun!

I am literally dying because Umbridge.

Jace is the angsts one? Okay, I buy it. ? We all have our angsts days.

Yes PLEASE steal it!!! Even if I don’t like all my answers ? it was fun!

  2. Hahahaha Omg your answers are all over the place!! That’s so weird. And I’m so sorry you got Umbridged because HOW DARE THEY ? And I love that you added your own quiz to it too, I should have put Lord of the Rings into the original. I took it and got “Gandalf the White” which is really awesome!

One of the people I tagged jumped in and added her own random one – A Series of Unfortunately Events! Honestly this was such a fun and unique tag, despite my complete lack of knowledge on most of these wicked popular series (oops). And despite Umbridge. *sigh*

Haha you are so sweet. I really hope I’m not an Umbridge. I loved Quizilla, though! I spent so much time making quizzes and doing graphics!
