Goodbye to Sweltering Days and Hello to Beautiful Autumn – August Wrap Up!

Hello everyone!  As I am every year, I am so excited to be slipping gently into autumn and leaving all the sweat and misery of summer behind.  What can I say?  I’m not a summer person.  Our summer has only had two modes here in New England – withering heat with miserable humidity or rain. Rain, rain, rain.  We got a new hammock chair for the deck back and June, and the weather said, “That’s hilarious!” and assured we could only rarely enjoy our deck.  Alas. There’s been a lot of positivity in August as well.  For starters, we came […]

Dear Greece, You Have My Heart – My July Wrap Up

When this post drops, I’ll be back from Greece, but only just.  With any luck we’ve stayed awake just long enough to bribe the cats into loving us again, then gone straight to bed for the day before heading back to work tomorrow.  Travel days are the longest, but they are still lovely, because I am grateful for any adventure. This post is going to be short and sweet, a lighter wrap up while I recover from vacation. Thank you loves, and I’m excited to tell you a bit more about the trip starting on August 20th. All the things […]

Feeling Hopeful Towards the Future – My May Wrap Up

Hello loves and welcome to another monthly wrap up, where we talk all things books, reading, and writing in the month of May!  As you all know, April was a tricky month for me – I took a hiatus during April, for starters.  In watching my stats over the last couple years as well, I’ve found April to be a low reading month.  I always feel relieved in May when things start to look up a little, you know?  And they definitely looked up this year! Even though things aren’t “normal” still in the world, I have more hope for […]

Bon martin, mes dames et monsieurs et tout les personnes. Not gonna lie.  March, April?  They were months.  I’m just going to be honest and straight up say that I slowed down even more on my reading compared to usual, and it should surprise no one that I did no writing.  That said, it was more or less what I anticipated from the month.  I needed a do-nothing break and while I wouldn’t say I feel rejuvenated, I would say that I feel less trampled.  But that’s enough of that – I have an upcoming post with an apology/explanation for next week. Maintenant, let’s look […]

Spring is Just Around the Corner… The March Wrap Up!

Spring is Just Around the Corner… The March Wrap Up!

Happy April, my friends!  So comes the end of March.  The end of March and thus the transition of seasons comes with so many holidays and celebrations, though most of them are still best spent distanced this year, so I hope everyone was safe and careful.  It’s a bit belated, but… To all my Christian friends and followers, a belated very happy Easter! To the Jewish community, belated chag sameach!  I hope you all had a wonderful Passover. To the Indian community – a belated happy Holi!  May the colors of happiness, prosperity, and love rain down upon each and […]
