Off-the-Grid Readathon V: What Am I Reading?

Off-the-Grid Readathon V: What Am I Reading?

Good morning my beautiful monsters! For once, I have my act together, and I am posting this TBR with plenty of notice for you beautiful souls to join in! On October 18th – October 20th, Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm and Justine @ I Should Read That are hosting the fifth Off-the-Grid Readathon!  I have participated in every one of these, and I like them because they’re very loose readathons.  They’re all about unplugging from our various electronics, buckling down, and reading. That’s it.  No challenges, no complicated game boards.  Just turn your phone on silent and see how much reading you can do! […]

To Succeed, Or Not to Succeed? That is the Question. (Retelling-a-Thon Wrap Up!)

So as you guys know, I announced a little more than a week ago that I would be participating in this year’s Retelling-a-Thon… specifically Shakespeare Week!  Retelling-a-Thon is actually a pretty small little readathon.  It’s hosted by Frayed Books, and this week was hosted by Harker over at The Hermit Librarian, so a big heaping thanks to the both of them for this fun little readathon! For Shakespeare week, I committed to reading seven books in my original announcement post.  To review, these were: Foul is Fair by Hannah Chapin Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard Tandem by […]

Good morning everyone!  Happy Sunday! After having so much fun with the Reading Rush, I took to Twitter to find another readathon.  Yes, yes, I know.  I’ve come a long way from shrugging off readathons!  Honestly, after I signed up for this one, there was a moment of deep regret.  Not because of the readathon, because it’s super cool!  Just more…  I kind of miss my writing and when I’m deep into reading and blogging like this, I don’t have time for both. BUT. Here we are! For August, I’ve decided to sign up for Retelling-a-Thon! For most, August is […]

In Which I Am Master of Everything (The Reading Rush 2019 Follow Up)

AHHH GUYS. The Reading Rush was SO. MUCH. FUN. I am definitely on board to do this readathon again next year.  When I built my TBR for Reading Rush, I thought only of hardcopy books off my shelf, and as such this was the first time in ages I feel like I’ve been reading off my shelf.  Yes, I did throw War Girls in there because I felt like I still needed to follow my actual TBR a little, but otherwise?  It was just so nice to read some different books and to check off challenges and I loved it. So what […]

The Reading Rush – Booktube-A-Thon Has Been Reborn!

The Reading Rush – Booktube-A-Thon Has Been Reborn!

Hey y’all.  Have you heard of Booktube-A-Thon? Even though I’m not a Booktuber, don’t really follow much of Booktube… I know what this readathon is.  It’s an epic week-long readathon and it’s been around since 2013.  It’s the oldest online readathon I know of.  I’ve never participated.  As a blogger (not vlogger) I never really thought I could? Which is dumb, I know. Don’t get me wrong – I’m sure some people have joined it even without a Booktube… but this is really exciting for me.  With a brand new flashy website where you can sign up and earn badges, Booktube-A-Thon […]
