Weekly Tea Time for the Soul #5: Where? BACK TO THE FUTURE.

Weekly Tea Time for the Soul #5: Where? BACK TO THE FUTURE.

Today is October 21st. It is tradition, in our little household, that on October 21st we watch Back to the Future.  All three of them.  I grew up on these films and so did my husband – we both love them.  The tradition started on October 21st, 2015.  It’s the date, in the second movie, when they went back to the future.  Now we just sort of keep it up, because traditions are fun. It’s been an alright week.  I’ve read four books out of my TBR Jar since the last time I updated – three for the Off the Grid […]

Weekly Tea Time for the Soul #4 – I’m Going Off the Grid

Weekly Tea Time for the Soul #4 – I’m Going Off the Grid

Good morning, my beautiful monsters! How have you all been?  What are you reading this week?  I’ve had a bit of a slow reading week, but I will say that I finished Sky in the Deep – which was totally fantastic!  If you haven’t read it yet, or have been waffling about adding it to your TBR, please consider reading it.  My mini-review is already on Goodreads, and it’ll be up on the blog in a week or so, but in the meanwhile I’ll tell you this much:  flawlessly five stars. For now, I’m listening to Inkspell by Cornelia Funke.  I love the imagination […]

Weekly Team Time For My Soul #3 – A Week With the Dregs

Weekly Team Time For My Soul #3 – A Week With the Dregs

Good morning my beautiful monsters. How are you all on this lovely autumn morning? I know I’ve been talking for months about how I can’t wait for autumn to arrive, et voila!  It’s finally here and I couldn’t be more thrilled.  The air is crisp and fresh, and tinges of apple and pumpkin seem to radiate in the soft winds.  Here in New England, the leaves have started to gain the slightest tint of red and orange. I love autumn. As you know from my September Wrap Up, it’s been a busy month. I’m grateful to be moving into October, where […]

Weekly Tea Time for the Soul #2 – Scripologists & Blacksmiths & My Mother-In-Law

Weekly Tea Time for the Soul #2 – Scripologists & Blacksmiths & My Mother-In-Law

Good morning, loves. I hope everyone has had a wonderful week!  My work life has been winding down to busy normal – I was able to leave on time every day last week, which was fantastic.  It’s the little things in life!  I packed most our stuff for vacation today, and the cats have already claimed the suitcase. Reggie is a sweet cat, but he hates it when we travel.  He will maintain vigil on the suitcase until we leave, and at that time he will climb on the shelf and watch us leave, demanding last minute pets.  He’s sweet, […]

Weekly Tea Time for the Soul #1 – A Gloom of Witches & Messy Love Stories

Weekly Tea Time for the Soul #1 – A Gloom of Witches & Messy Love Stories

Good morning, mes chers.  Happy Sunday!  How is everyone today? It’s a lovely late summer morning here – the weather outside pleasant enough that I can open the sliding screen door to the deck and let a little bit of fresh air in.  My husband’s still a-bed (I’m an early riser – he’ll be up in a few hours) and Lady Elizabeth is impatiently waiting for her breakfast. Sometimes, I wonder if the cats only love us for their food.  Then they spend the day cuddling, and I don’t wonder anymore. Has everyone had a good week?  I’ve been busy – […]

Long Weekends & Ready Player One

Long Weekends & Ready Player One

Good morning my lovelies, and happy Easter! Whether you’re at Easter Mass, on an egg hunt, or doing positively nothing at all, I hope you have a delightful day! I have had a most amazingly productive book week for the first time in ages, which was a lovely change.  Finished three books this week, all of which have been fairly long-running for me, and all of which I enjoyed.  You should be seeing reviews pop up for The Magicians, Gone With the Wind, and Wizard and Glass throughout the next couple weeks!   Of course, this also means I started new books!  Matt […]
