At first, I was hesitant going into Illuminae for two reasons: it is a very hyped book, and it was mixed media, which may/may not work in audiobook format.  I kept my expectations pretty low, because a lot of the super hyped books don’t really work for me. First, a small confession. I blog mostly YA, and I have never read a Jay Kristoff novel before.  I have them all on my TBR.  Nevernight. Illuminae. Stormdancer.  I have always intended to read him, but I just haven’t gotten to that place on my TBR list yet.
