I underestimated this book soooooooo much. Six of Crows is everything I wanted and more. This book is filled with incredible, well-layered characters and set in a world were I could feel the cold and smell the salty sea.  I was interested in Shadow and Bone but not obsessed.  I thought the love story was cheesy and I didn’t expect anything more from Six of Crows.  I didn’t expect a full-fleshed story where the relationships were subplots, and I didn’t expect to like all the characters. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

In a YA fantasy world where everything is all about the romantic relationships, this was a breath of fresh air.  At times I think Bardugo wanted the romance to take over, but this didn’t read like a romance to me at all.  Which was nice.  Because I like plots.
