The last time I read The Eternity Code, I was a sophomore in high school.  All I remembered about this novel was the very beginning – Artemis and Butler meeting an investor.  So, of course, what happened two chapters later was a complete surprise. The Arctic Incident is my least favorite of the Artemis Fowl books.  It has its merits.  This novel builds a relationship between Artemis and the fae, and it strengthens Artemis’ family.  That said, I find it more boring than the other books? I am hopelessly enamored by my childhood favorites. From The Immortals to Harry Potter to His Dark Materials, the books I read in middle school and high school still remain my sentimental favorites.  I read them over and again, and mostly just applaud myself for my excellent taste.
