This book was absolutely beautiful. I don’t typically go in for romance, but sometimes, when it’s paired with exquisitely written historical fiction, I fall head-over-heels for it.  That’s how I feel about The Orphan’s Song. I genuinely appreciated this book. I can’t say anything for the rep, and I have to admit that I am not particularly familiar with Mulan’s story outside of the Disney movie… but there were many details about this story that I thoroughly appreciated.
