Is it really annual wrap up time already? Where did all the time go? This is only the second time I’ve done this annual post in this type of format – I can’t believe I’ve been with The StoryGraph for over a year now. I still love the site – its stats, its acknowledgement of audiobooks, the graphs, the content warnings! There’s a lot on the StoryGraph I haven’t used, but I love what I have used and that it’s still growing! My biggest use of the StoryGraph is for my wrap ups… and none more than the annual wrap […]

Hello my beautiful monsters! I came across a reel of Anne Frances Murphy singing “A Little Bit Alexis” in Schitt’s Creek a couple weeks ago, and it’s been annoyingly in my head ever since. We actually just finished Schitt’s Creek (I’m not a binge-watcher) so a year later, I’m finally caught up with the rest of the world! October is my favorite month of the year. At the beginning of October, we were just coming back from Alaska and at the end of October, we headed south to Orlando, Florida. In between these two adventures, we’ve been lucky to have […]

I do so love Miranda Asebedo’s writing and I have been aching to read A Constellation of Roses since the preorder arrived on my doorstep. In fact, it was this book that made me decide I had to inject my preorders into my TBR rather than leaving them to the mercy of the TBR Jar. When this one popped up, I danced a bit. And you know what? It lived up to all my expectations. Where to begin? The world building is fantastic. Asebedo excels at giving the reader enough so they can imagine the world, but not so much […]

Goodbye to Sweltering Days and Hello to Beautiful Autumn – August Wrap Up!

Hello everyone!  As I am every year, I am so excited to be slipping gently into autumn and leaving all the sweat and misery of summer behind.  What can I say?  I’m not a summer person.  Our summer has only had two modes here in New England – withering heat with miserable humidity or rain. Rain, rain, rain.  We got a new hammock chair for the deck back and June, and the weather said, “That’s hilarious!” and assured we could only rarely enjoy our deck.  Alas. There’s been a lot of positivity in August as well.  For starters, we came […]

The Weather Turns Cold, But It’s Fine I’m In the Caribbean – The November Wrap Up

Hi loves! November and December’s wrap-ups will be short and sweet, as I haven’t been supremely involved in the community lately, and what’s worse, I haven’t been reading as much as I wish I could.  This month, I’m just going to do a quick review on the books themselves and a smidge of life. 🙂 Thanks for always being so cool about the flightiness of my wrap ups! <3 Also, just a reminder from Friday that I’m Bahama-bound so I want to talk about this month’s books!  But I can’t reply to comments under next week. </3 Preorders rolling in this […]
