Creme de la Creme de la Edgar: Disney Dining 3/3 (Disney Part 8)

Creme de la Creme de la Edgar: Disney Dining 3/3 (Disney Part 8)

Hi everyone!  Welcome back to the very last week (for real this time!) of our Disney vacation overview.  I can’t believe we ate at so many places that I was able to draw out three posts from it.  Kinda insane.  And to think that I was going to try and squish this in with all the other posts…. Well y’all will be delighted to know that this is the final travel-related post for a couple months.  Sometimes I do one-offs we I go to something different than usual (i.e. RICC or King Richard’s Faire) but other than the Bruins game last month, […]

Rustle Up Some Grub: Disney Dining 2/3 (Disney Part 7)

Rustle Up Some Grub: Disney Dining 2/3 (Disney Part 7)

Hello my loves! Welcome to part two in my Disney Dining extravaganza!  Last week I spoke a little about restaurants at Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.  Today’s restaurants are all over the place!  From resorts to the parks, to one more stop in Disney Springs, I’ve got five more restaurants we visited and my thoughts on them.  Both of my husband’s favorites are on today’s list, so I hope you find some yummy stuff, too! Bon Voyage Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno Location:  Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Style: Table-service, Character experience. If you read last week’s post, you’re probably starting to […]

Rumbly in My Tumbly: Disney Dining 1/3 (Disney Pt. 6)

Rumbly in My Tumbly: Disney Dining 1/3 (Disney Pt. 6)

Note: I originally intended to do all the dining in one post, but this post got really long really fast, so I’ve decided to split it into three sections, each covering the food for two days.  Otherwise this is going to be a monster post! In our September trip to Disney World, one of the things we did in excess was eat.  We got the Deluxe Dining Plan because we didn’t want to have to worry about any food or drink needs, period.  Prepaid, and done.  I will start out by saying:  that is way too much food.  I will not do that again. […]

Hollywood Studios: Where the Magic of the Movies Comes to Life (Disney Pt. 5)

Hollywood Studios: Where the Magic of the Movies Comes to Life (Disney Pt. 5)

If you had asked me a couple of years ago which Disney park was my favorite, I’d have told you “Hollywood Studios!” without considering any other options.  There’s a lot that Hollywood Studios has to offer:  expansions, great restaurants, classic rides… and it’s definitely made for “older kids”. It’s still a good park, don’t get me wrong.  I may be just a bit bitter, since the Time Warner Classic Movies contract ended and my favorite ride is gone.  Or because the whole park was under serious construction.  In about three years, loves, Hollywood Studios is going to be impossible.  It was […]

Magic Kingdom: Where the Magic Began (In Florida) (Disney Pt. 4)

Magic Kingdom: Where the Magic Began (In Florida) (Disney Pt. 4)

Magic Kingdom was the first park opened Orlando, but Walt Disney didn’t live to see it.  For me, it is the quintessential Disney Park (sorry, California).  From the towering Cinderella’s Castle to the variety of rides and shopping – Magic Kingdom has something for everyone and there’s so much to do. I love this picture, by the way.  The colors and lighting and everything are perfect, and it makes it look like we’re the only ones in the park.  Which was definitely not the case.  This park is BUSY.  But what is particularly nice about Magic Kingdom is that there are a lot of […]

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (Disney Pt. 3)

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (Disney Pt. 3)

Every year, the Disney parks hold two big, ticketed events:  Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.  These events run after the park closes for the night, and tickets for the event much be purchased separately (however, a park ticket is not required to attend).  Since they each run for a couple months, lots of visitors have the opportunity to join in the fun. Guys, I don’t want to sugar coat this for you.  I was so excited to be going to Halloween party, and everything I saw on line talked about how amazing it was and how the […]
