I’m not doing NaNoWriMo this year. Between work and blogging and work and family stuff and work I just didn’t have the time to commit to it properly. And that’s okay. I’ve learned my lesson from past years when I’ve tried to do it just as things were getting crazy and it destroyed me. DO NOT BE DESTROYED, MY BEAUTIFUL MONSTERS. I read novels to get immersed into awesome worlds. Okay, so if I really broke it down I would tell you that characters are awesome, plot is essential, love stories are annoying (I’M SORRY GUYS, I WANT MONSTERS NOT KISSING), and can magic please exist? I’ve been playing around with a new idea for a book, one that is playful and simple and inspired by an episode of Eureka. Details still need to be hashed, but I put together a cover for it today. Although, I can’t seem to get a lot of the layers to merge properly so the JPG looks the same as the PSD file? Nonetheless, I like it.
