May Wrap Up

Sometime in the midst of May, summer arrived! When I left to go to Europe, there was a snowstorm on our tail, following us from New Hampshire all the way up to Manhattan. When I came back, it was 80-degrees outside!  That, in a brief description, is New England weather.  I love it and I hate it, but overall I’m really glad to see the sunshine. Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory

I came across the play on a slow day at work and read it before the shift was over. It is a wonderful (sad, but wonderful) reflection on the “Radium Girls” and their battle for justice, as well as a warning to even modern audiences regarding the proper treatment of employees, and caution in the face of the unknown. I loved the use of the historical figure Madame Curie in the play, and would love to see the play on stage.
