10 Fabulous Bookmarks from Boxes & Artists

10 Fabulous Bookmarks from Boxes & Artists

Almost exactly two years ago, I did a little piece showing off some of the bookmarks that I had accumulated.  Goodness gracious, y’all – my bookmark collection has exploded in the last couple years!  I used to have less than ten – these days, I’ve gotten a lot.  Between subscription boxes and a couple impulse buys of designs I really liked… I have way more bookmarks than I know what to do with. In fact, I’ve go so many that I needed to find a storage solution! While I’ve received three different bookmark tins/boxes from subscription boxes, my favorite storage solution […]

Storytelling: An August 2019 Scribbler Unboxing

Storytelling: An August 2019 Scribbler Unboxing

Good morning loves and thanks for stopping in!  Today, we’ll be unboxing the August 2019 edition of the Scribbler box, with the theme of Storytelling!  For those of you joining for your first ever Scribbler unboxing this is a book box created by writers, for writers.  I started subscribing to this one on Day 1, and have been grabbing boxes here-and-there ever since, whenever the topic tickles my fancy. This post is in no way sponsored, but if you would like to swing by Scribbler and check out this box for yourself, they offer a month-to-month subscription for $29.99 + […]

Collaboration: A July Scribbler Unboxing! (SPOILERS!)

Collaboration: A July Scribbler Unboxing! (SPOILERS!)

Good morning beautiful monsters! It’s been a long time since I subscribed to Scribbler.  I really love the writerly bits they send out, but the books themselves are hit or miss with me.  They’re not bad books, but the last few boxes have not my genre, generally speaking.  That said, sometimes they have a topic that really piques my interest, and July’s topic, “Collaboration” was one of them. This month’s Scribbler box is all about working with another writer in the development of the novel.  I’ve never really understood how that traditionally works.  The first novel I wrote was a collaboration… […]

10 Pieces of Swag I Loved from Subscription Boxes

10 Pieces of Swag I Loved from Subscription Boxes

I do a lot of unboxing on this blog and I talk about the items I do and don’t like.  I know this is nothing like this week’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt, but I’ve been wanting to deviate for a while and make a little space on my blog for this post, because I enjoy calling out some of the great creators in the community! There are a lot of items I’ve used here and there, and a lot of things that have been fun.  I love all the candles, honestly – I’m always excited when a candle or a pin […]

My Subscription Addiction: To All The Book Boxes I’ve Loved Before

My Subscription Addiction: To All The Book Boxes I’ve Loved Before

I’m an old fashioned girl, and I love getting mail.  Like – real mail, with an envelope and a stamp.  A normal day at my mailbox consists of the following: An advertisement from our internet provider trying to get us to add a cable package. The local newspaper. Some sort of notification from our insurance company. An ad or catalogue from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, or Ulta. None of these things are exciting.  You know what is exciting. Book Depository mail! :O Especially because their shipping takes soooooooo long, I usually forget that I ordered anything at all! XD Even more exciting […]

August Scribbler Unboxing / Tackling Tension / SPOILERS!

August Scribbler Unboxing / Tackling Tension / SPOILERS!

It’s been a really long time since I did an unboxing… partially because they take forever, and partially because they don’t get the blog a lot of traffic, so they’re not really worth the trouble.  But I’ve been thinking about doing one for a few months now, because I really like Scribbler. The Scribbler subscription box is run by authors Lindsay Cummings and Victoria Scott, and is focused on not only getting you a great new release each month (usually YA), but also helping aspiring authors hone their writing skills and giving them an inside look at the publishing world.  There’s really nothing […]
