August Wrap Up

Hello everyone!  How did August go for everyone?  Summer is winding away, and autumn is nearly here!  My  August was busy with friends in the beginning and work at the end.  I read some great books, ate some great food, and I am SO SO excited for September because I have a lot of fun stuff planned in September! As I’m writing this, I’ve got Black-ish on in background, eating some amazing bakery chocolate cream pie, hot tea… the porch door is wide open and my Lizzie cat is curled up right next to me.  Can’t ask for much more than that. Good morning everyone! I just felt like doing a live, unplanned post this morning.  My catching up on blogging has been going really well since I mentioned in the July Wrap Up that I had nothing scheduled. I’m into the beginning of October now, so I’m well ahead.  I had one week when I was able to schedule a post a day, which is great!  Anyways, I just felt like saying hello live for a change. So – hi, hello, how are you?  Is anyone else in New England?  Is anyone else sick of all this heat and humidity?  If I’m not […]

July Wrap Up

I know I usually say “wow that month went by so fast”, but seriously, y’all, July?  July was a long long month.  I struggled to balance reading with writing with blogging with life with health stuff and sunshine and just everything and I am ready for autumn.  This is how you know I’m a New Englander – I’m ready for fall now. Yes? Yes. July wasn’t so bad – just busy!  I don’t like to be busy – I love me some weekends to sit at home and relish in doing nothing.  It’s the best.  August is gonna be busy too, […]

Transatlantic Cruise: Iceland (8/8)

Hello my loves. Today is the final – the very last – entry about my Transatlantic Cruise from April.  It was the adventure of a lifetime.  It was exhausting.  It was spectacular.  If you ever have the opportunity to tour Europe – even just a small piece of it – I urge you to go.  It’s a stunning place, filled with levels of history that you have to see to truly understand.  The people are lovely, the buildings are lovelier, and British food is the best. Go. All that said, I feel wholeheartedly that Iceland is the most beautiful place on […]

Transatlantic Cruise: London (7/8)

Transatlantic Cruise: London (7/8)

What does London mean to you? I think of the Beatles, and “London Bridge is falling down, falling down” and Jack the Ripper and that scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows where the dementors are destroying the Millennium Bridge.  One of my favorite scenes I’ve ever written is in my guilty-pleasure WIP So I Married a Demon Hunter in which my MC (Katie) stabs a demon in full formal dress on Durward Street in the rain. I just lost about 30 minutes scrolling through Dean Winchester GIFs and I have no regrets. I really like London. I had high expectations. We […]
