Dishonor on You, Dishonor on your Cow, and Also HI! It’s the Disney Sidekick Tag!

You know, I have a lot of saved tags in my drafts, and they’re all super fun, so I feel like it’s time to do more than one tag a month.  🙂 For my readers in the United States, I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July last week!  We didn’t do anything much (we usually don’t) but it’s always lovely to have a day off!  The only thing I miss about the Fourth of July celebrations in my childhood is the fireworks, but alas, personal fireworks are illegal in the state of Massachusetts, so…. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Today’s tag comes from […]

My OTP Narrator/Book Matches

My OTP Narrator/Book Matches

I am a HUGE audiobook listener – more than 2/3 of my reading the last two years has been via audiobooks.  So color me surprised when I went to review my “read by” section of my review archive, only to discover that I’ve only listened to a handful of narrators a couple times.  This post was supposed to be about ten amazing narrators, but instead, I’m giving you something else. One of the audiobook pain points that came up for the post a couple weeks ago was that a bad narrator ruins a book.  I am 100% on board with this […]

Goodreads Book Tag

Goodreads Book Tag

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC day!  Today, for you other history nerds out there, is the Ides of March.  So, um, if your name is Julius Caesar… watch your back!  FUN FACT.  One of the reasons the Ides of March was important to the Romans, because it was a day they used to settle debts.  Now, I think most Romans probably settled financial debts… but Brutus and Cassius took it to the next level. This morning, I’m bringing you the Goodreads Book Tag!  I’m going to preface it by apologizing for any out-of-date answers… this is […]

Candy Hearts, ARC Attack, & Busyness – February Wrap Up!

Candy Hearts, ARC Attack, & Busyness – February Wrap Up!

The end of February always throws me off.  it feels like we should have another week, right?  But the end is nigh and March is upon us.  March is my least favorite month of the year, largely because we get hit with the worst of the winter weather in March.  Fortunately I have a contingency plan for that and plan to spend a week of March in the Caribbean. 10/10 I recommend this winter escaping tactic. In the meanwhile, let’s talk books. 😉 Okay, okay.  I know.  This looks bad, right?  Especially bad for being on a book buying ban.  I […]

The Last Guardian by Eoin Colfer

The Last Guardian by Eoin Colfer

I swear, my brain just CANNOT handle the last book in a series.  When I read The Dark Tower again last year, I believe I mentioned that I had completely remembered the ending wrong.  Guess what?  Apparently the same with The Last Guardian.  My brain filed away a grand “last stand” situation where Artemis and Holly pull Opal out of prison and she joins them in this last great attempt against an annihilative force.  And while they don’t become friends, they learn to respect one another. My brain is adorable. It comes up with such creatively wrong things. So if you were […]

July Wrap Up

July Wrap Up

July is gone, and I’m posting this today so I can focus on Harry Potter’s birthday tomorrow.  I swear, I’m not a Harry Potter nerd. LIES! #Ravenclaw4Life I’ve had mixed feelings about this month’s books.  There’ve been a couple of DNFs, but on the other hand there were books that I really loved!  It was a high/low month and nothing inbetween.   THE JULY HAUL Click the image to go to the Goodreads page!
