10 YA Authors Who Have Participated in NaNoWriMo (See? It’s Cool!)

I am a big, big fan of NaNoWriMo. You may have noticed this from years of posts about it, plus the fact that I proudly display my winner’s badges on my sidebar.  I think that NaNoWriMo is a great community writing event for all ages.  Is it perfect?  Of course not – some people positively hate it.  Plus, the content one puts out during NaNoWriMo will be, by nature, subpar at best.  But that’s not the point.  The point is we are writing and we are writing together. Love, love, love it.  You will see nothing but adoration for the event on […]

Anyone Hungry? How About a BURRITO BOOK TAG?

Anyone Hungry? How About a BURRITO BOOK TAG?

Do you guys every just go out hunting for fun book tags? I do.  I like to do the ones trending the community, I really do, but also?  It takes me so long to get to them that trying to keep in the trending curves feels a little pointless for me.  After all, I just did the #NowWeRise Book Tag, and that one was inspired by the release of Children of Blood and Bone.  So yeah, I got to that several months after the sequel was released.  I will never be on-trend, haha, but I’m okay with that! And I do want to take this moment to apologize – I said in my Support Indie Bookstores post that I would not […]

Good morning everyone! Every once in a while, I find myself reading a book that sucks me in.  Sometimes, it’s a debut that wraps me up so thoroughly that I can’t believe this author doesn’t already have a dozen publications behind them.  Other times, it’s an author who delights me every single time.  These authors are the ones that inspired to try and pick up their next work. If you haven’t read any works by these authors, or don’t have their debuts on your TBR, I  highly recommend them. Charlotte Nicole Davis Charlotte Nicole Davis is my most recent contribution […]

My OTP Narrator/Book Matches

My OTP Narrator/Book Matches

Posted March 26, 2019 in Memes // 24 Comments

I am a HUGE audiobook listener – more than 2/3 of my reading the last two years has been via audiobooks.  So color me surprised when I went to review my “read by” section of my review archive, only to discover that I’ve only listened to a handful of narrators a couple times.  This post was supposed to be about ten amazing narrators, but instead, I’m giving you something else. One of the audiobook pain points that came up for the post a couple weeks ago was that a bad narrator ruins a book.  I am 100% on board with this […]
