My Ten Favorite Book Subjects (The Data Speaks!)

My Ten Favorite Book Subjects (The Data Speaks!)

Hi all! This week’s Top Ten Tuesday is all about the longest books you’ve ever read.  While this is a great topic, it’s very similar to The Mountain Book Tag which I did earlier this year, so rather than repeat content, I thought I’d bring you a different top ten… one of my very own. This week, I want to talk about my top 10 book tags!  This isn’t in regard to Book Tags in the traditional sense… these are subject tags I use on my LibraryThing account.  For all the books I’ve read, I go through and tag them with […]

The Birthday Book Tag

The Birthday Book Tag

Hi everyone! Guess what!!! Yup!  I know you thought it was last year, but turns out it is kind of an annual thing. So for fun, I thought I would do this cool Birthday Book tag I saw over on Laughing Listener last December! It looks like this was originally created by Brunette Bibliophile over on YouTube.  Have y’all ever noticed how BookTube comes up with the best tags?  Both are great bookish stops – one blog and one vlog – so check them out if you’ve got a second. 🙂 And without further ado… the Birthday Book Tag! Count […]

Fall Book Tag

Fall Book Tag

A little more than a year ago, Kyera tagged me in The Fall Book Tag.  At the time, my blogging schedule was so so full, I never found a place to put it without double-posting, but I saved it, because this is a lovely tag and I really wanted to make sure I did it! I love autumn.  I live the whole year for Octobers.  I’m a New Englander – autumn means jack-o-lanterns and sunset-colored treetops and apple cinnamon pie.  Autumn has the best sights, smells, and weather where I live.  This tag was practically made for me. <3 The rules: Please link back to […]

Ten Books I Wish More People Were Talking About

Ten Books I Wish More People Were Talking About

I love to shout about the books I love. You may have noticed that pattern among book bloggers – you may love to do it yourself.  Some books – like The Night Circus or Ready Player One – everyone is talking about.  But then, there are books you think were fantastic, but people just aren’t talking about them as much as you think they deserve. For me, this encompasses most the books on my shelf.  If I own it, I probably love it, and want to talk about it.  How about you?  Here are some books I la-la-love, that I wish got more […]

Mid-Year Freak Out Tag! (2018)

Mid-Year Freak Out Tag! (2018)

I really wanted to do this tag last year, and it just didn’t work out with my posting schedule.  This year, I bookmarked the tag from the lovely Lia @ Lost in a Story and I am ready to DO THIS THING. ARE YOU READY TO FREAK OUT?! The Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2018 Gosh this one is hard.  I’ve read a lot of really fantastic books so far this year and it’s so hard to pick JUST ONE.  I think I have to go with Tess of the Road, because it’s the one that spoke to me […]

The Price Guide to the Occult by Leslye Walton

The Price Guide to the Occult by Leslye Walton

It has been snowy and gloomy and dull and my loves, everything in my heart has been dying for something dark and witchy and alive.  In that matter, The Price Guide to the Occult was everything I wanted.  It was earthy and malevolent and brought me to life. The Price Guide to the Occult introduces the reader to Rona Blackburn – a powerful witch who comes to the island in its founding days and wishes to be left in peace.  Unfortunately, frightened people make rash, irrational decisions.  When the eight “founding fathers” of the island fail to kill Rona, she sets […]
