Hello my beautiful monsters! I came across a reel of Anne Frances Murphy singing “A Little Bit Alexis” in Schitt’s Creek a couple weeks ago, and it’s been annoyingly in my head ever since. The amount you enjoy The Wild Ones will be directly correlated to the amount you enjoy poetry and flowery language. Azad’s writing reminded me of Nikita Gill and Rupi Kaur. As such, this book was very much not my cup of tea, but it’s not a bad book! Just not a fit for my tastes. The make up of The Wild Ones is wonderful. Hello everyone! As I am every year, I am so excited to be slipping gently into autumn and leaving all the sweat and misery of summer behind. What can I say? I’m not a summer person. Our summer has only had two modes here in New England – withering heat with miserable humidity or rain. Rain, rain, rain. When this post drops, I’ll be back from Greece, but only just. With any luck we’ve stayed awake just long enough to bribe the cats into loving us again, then gone straight to bed for the day before heading back to work tomorrow.
