Tags & Memes

I participate in a few weekly memes, although not always regularly.  These are tags and challenges that followed by different book bloggers on a regular basis.  I really cannot recommend them enough – it’s a great way to get around and see different blogs… and also add more books to your TBR list.

My regular/semi-regular memes are as follows:

15 Minute Ficlets is a weekly challenge based on the original 15 Minute Ficlets LiveJournal Community.  Since this community has been defunct since 2013, I’ve decided to resurrect the challenge on my blog as a weekly Sunday writing challenge.  If there’s interest, I’ll turn this into a meme (link up in the comments if you try it!).  In the meanwhile, the rules:

Based on a single word, write a story in fifteen minutes.  The word count is irrelevant.  Just write your heart out for 15 minutes and be inspired by the word.  You never know what you’ll end up with!

Mailbox Mondays are hosted by the ladies over on the Mailbox Monday blog.  What finds have you added to your collection this week?

It’s Monday, What are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by The Book Date.  It’s a great way to catch up on all the literary ins-and-outs of the previous week, and see what everyone is up to.

Top Ten Tuesdays is hosted by the ladies over on The Broke and the Bookish.  They revolve around making a list of ten bookish things based on a different prompt every week.

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released.  Find out more here.

Thursday Quotables is a weekly meme hosted by Bookshelf Fantasies.  Every week, readers share a quote or passage from the book they’re reading that strikes them – whether it be funny or philosophical or something in between.

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Billy on Ramblings of a Coffee Addict.  Each week, bloggers answer a different question about their own lives or reading habits.
